Amphitheatre hosted Alan Jackson Friday night
Alan Jackson, the American country music singer, known for blending traditional honky-tonk and mainstream country sounds and penning many of his own hits appeared live on stage at the St Augustine Amphitheatre last night and Historic City News was there.



Marci A Larson, Public Affairs Manager for the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, has asked for input from Historic City News readers about the annual, updated Transportation Improvement Program; either on their website of during a public meeting later this month.
Saying that the administrative staff felt there would be more community support for revisiting the existing location of the City-owned horse stables at Riberia Pointe, St Augustine Vice-Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline told one newspaper reporter yesterday that the proposal to move and expand the stables to Eddie Vickers Park is dead, at least for now.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
This afternoon, Historic City Companies learned that two new faces will be working for one of St Johns County and Northeast Florida’s largest landowners, The Hutson Companies; whose offices are located on Hartley Road in Jacksonville. The announcement comes just two weeks before founder David W. Hutson celebrates his 69th birthday.

This morning, the City of St Augustine held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new breakwater installed on the north end of the St Augustine City Marina.
