Search for hit-and-run driver who struck bicyclist

400-Schwinn-Beach-CruiserAt about 10:18 p.m. last night, Historic City News received word from the Florida Highway Patrol traffic homicide unit that a hit-and-run crash between an unknown vehicle and a 43-year-old St Augustine man, riding his Schwinn Beach Cruiser, has left the bicyclist in critical condition and a search for the driver of the fleeing vehicle is underway.

The Youth Ambassadors of St. Augustine are always venturing off to new places. In October, the Youth Ambassadors visited three historic inns on Cedar Street and learned about another inn on the street that was completely booked and unable to be visited.
