Free Sunset Rock Music Benefit Concert Thursday
Organizers for the first annual Sunset Rock Music Benefit Concert announced to Historic City News today the final schedule of events including performances by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Terry Sylvester of The Hollies, and contestants from TV talent shows “The Voice” and “Live at the Apollo”.
Bank robber located by US Marshal Service
The man law enforcement officials are telling Historic City News committed the robbery of a Compass Bank branch located on US-1 South last Tuesday at 2:37 p.m., is in custody in the Palm Beach County jail. According to Sheriff’s spokesman, Kevin Kelshaw, the man may have also committed a bank robbery in Volusia County and attempted another in Flagler County late last month.
Commission hears plan for Riberia Pointe tonight
Kim MacEwan reported to Historic City News that the St Augustine City Commissioner will hear plans for a regional Children’s Museum being proposed for Riberia Pointe at the south end of Riberia Street, tonight at their meeting.

The City of St Augustine is embarking on a process to define a vision plan.
The city commission will start the process with a workshop on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The process will only be relevant and useful if all constituencies are involved along the way.
