Three musical acts from Aviles made to feel at home



As our editor and publisher take up residence on St George Street for the 450th Commemoration, Historic City News readers will notice one profound presence as the walk the city streets — music. From about 3:00 p.m. this afternoon and continuing into tonight, stages from the Bridge of Lions to the Historic Downtown Parking Facility are alive with musical performers.
Historic City News has verified that all departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St. Johns County Administrative offices, Library branches, and the Pet Center will be closed Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.
Joseph C. Cearley, Special Projects Manager for the St. Johns County Growth Management Department, has forwarded to Historic City News for publication a copy of a draft ordinance that, if approved by the Board of County Commissioners, will amend the current land development code.
