Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Allen Nelson, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
31-year-old Mark K Juen Jr, who resides on Meadow Blessing Ln in Callahan, has only been on-the-job four months as a St Johns County Law enforcement deputy. But, yesterday, Friday afternoon about 12:45 p.m., he learned that just because you are driving a patrol car doesn’t mean you can’t cause and accident. At about 11:00 a.m. Friday, Historic City News was informed that a St Johns County major crimes detective, 52-year-old Jeffrey Lewis Cook, has been arrested and charged with lewd & lascivious molestation. As of Monday morning, Cook remains in custody for the second-degree felony, in lieu of $150,000 bond.
Historic City News learned that, 87-year-old Alwin Hoffmann from Jacksonville, had just been involved in a minor motor vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of SR-16 at Fortner Road on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at about 10:00 p.m.
According to the St. Augustine Police Department, a city employee told police Wednesday evening that she got a call from a co-worker about a woman lying on the floor of the men’s restroom at Cafe del Hidalgo, 35 Hypolita Street.
