Historic City News was informed by the City of St Augustine Beach that longtime commissioner, Margaret England, has retired from City service.  At its final meeting of the year in December, the City Commission presented a plaque to Commissioner England in appreciation for her 14 years of service to the city.

Local School District wins transgender restroom case in the District Court of Appeals

Historic City News was informed that the St Johns County School District won a 7-4 split decision in federal appeals court on Friday, almost certainly opening the door for an appearance before the United States Supreme Court over a policy that separates school bathrooms by biological sex.
