St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar announced to Historic City News this morning that the agency has been awarded reaccredited status by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation and is only the third agency in the state to receive the prestigious “Excelsior Agency” award.

The Town of Marineland, on the border of southern St. Johns County and northern Flagler County, located between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, reports to Historic City News that they have opened a new 25-slip public marina on the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office reported to Historic City News that they are partnering with Target and the Flagler County School District to promote “National Night Out”, a nationwide move to fight crime.
