Last day to register to vote only a week away
Supervisor of Elections Penny Halyburton reminds all Historic City News readers that reside in St. Johns County that Monday, July 26, 2010, is the last day to register to be able to vote in the August 24th Primary Election.




Historic City News readers are being asked for help by St. Johns County detectives George Harrigan and Charles Brantley who are trying to locate North Beach resident Brittany Jeniveve Tavar.
Don Steele, Principal of R. B. Hunt Elementary School, is advising all Historic City News readers that their office will be closed for a mandatory shutdown during the week of July 19th – 22nd and will re-open on Monday, July 26th.
St. Augustine Visitors and Convention Bureau Communications Director Jay Humphreys told Historic City News that highlighting this weekend’s entertainment is a special performance by former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr.
Historic City News has learned that multi-county extension agent Jacque Breman, well known to those involved in St. Johns County’s agri-business community, has been appointed Interim Director of the St. Johns County Extension Office as of this Monday.
Cathy DuPont notified local government reporters at Historic City News that the St. Augustine City Commission will meet in a workshop on Wednesday to review the future of the planned 450th Commemoration.
From Kuwait this morning, Historic City News received an announcement from St. Johns County Commissioner Mark P. Miner announcing his endorsement of candidates in the upcoming elections.
