Bryan’s raffle to be “first across bridge” stalled
Historic City News listened along with City Commissioners to a suggestion that might benefit a proposed St. Augustine Foot Soldiers monument from current County Commissioner Ken Bryan who says that the city should use the reopening of the Bridge of Lions as a fundraiser.

Begining new vending process for the plaza
Historic City News listened to a number of public comments, dominated by complaints from shop owners around the Plaza, leading to the City Commission deciding that only the market building in the Plaza de la Constitución should be used for vending.

$75,000 noise barrier approved for skate park
Historic City News followed City commissioners last night as they approved $75,000 for a “landscape berm” to reduce skateboard noise at Hamilton Upchurch Park following public comments dominated by complaints from the skate park’s residential neighbors.
