A clerk working at Circle K gas and convenience store, on SR-16 along the I-95 corridor, called the sheriff’s office late Tuesday evening to report that a man entered the store and went directly into the bathroom, where he locked the door and remained for about an hour. The employee requested the man leave the restroom and property, but he refused to respond or leave.

Re: Clarification of Material Misstatements in City Manager Memorandum regarding Santa Maria Development Agreement dated July 17, 2018
Dear Mayor Shaver and Commissioners:
I feel compelled to respond to City Manager Regan’s Memorandum to you dated July 17, 2018 regarding my family’s proposed redevelopment of the historic Santa Maria restaurant to correct a number of material misstatements.
Not yet out of the woods on contextualization issues related to their plan to patronize a favored local vendor under a tortured theory of the governing municipal ordinance, the city’s manager, John Regan, and attorney, Isabelle Lopez, are again dancing around a controversy that threatens the taxpayers of the City of St Augustine with a lawsuit that could run into hundreds-of-thousands of dollars.
