With Commissioner Leanna Freeman absent Monday night, the three attending commissioners approved a motion by Todd Neville to ignore nearly an hour of public comment dominated by speakers opposing the San Marco Hotel plans.
During a meeting tonight of the Town of Hastings, commission members voted 4-1 in favor of directing the Town Attorney to prepare an ordinance to appear on the ballot allowing Hastings voters to decide whether or not to dissolve the incorporated city.

Historic City News was informed that a St Johns County man was taken back into custody at about 7:00 p.m. last night by St Johns County Deputy Adam Hertz after he was found to be in violation of the conditions of his pre-trial release. He has pending domestic violence charges requiring him to have no victim contact and to wear a GPS monitor.
