FDOT road repairs and maintenance report

Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.

Mayor will be guest speaker at StAR Council meeting

When the St. Augustine Regional Council holds their next general monthly meeting, Tuesday April 21st, Historic City News was informed the special guest speaker will be St Augustine mayor, Nancy Shaver. The meeting and presentation will be held at Dos Gatos Restaurant located at 66 Hypolita Street, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Road work affecting parking and downtown traffic

Starting on Monday, April 13th, St. Augustine city officials have informed Historic City News that ongoing exterior work on City Hall will require the temporary removal of parking on the west side of the building.

Man steals handgun and threatens two before arrest

Early Wednesday morning, investigators informed Historic City News reporters that they believe 47-year-old Waring Elliott Barbee stole a handgun from his employer without the victim’s knowledge.
