Volunteer opportunities at St. Augustine Lighthouse
Volunteers are being sought to assist with site shifts, visitor services, special events, academic research and a variety of other tasks at one of St Augustine’s best known historical attractions and an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution; the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum.

The River House, home to the St Johns Council on Aging, located at 179 Marine Street, has invited Historic City News readers to participate in the upcoming public events during the month of November.

Historic City News always checks the financial reports filed by political candidates, at least the ones who successfully make it to the General Elections. A standard metric for campaign managers is their budget for each vote. We took a look at the preliminary numbers which will adjust slightly when the campaigns file their final report.
Historic City News readers will enjoy a free exhibit at the Visitor Information Center located at 10 West Castillo Drive in St Augustine from November 15, 2014, to January 12, 2015. The St. Augustine 450th Commemoration exhibition, which kicks off the anniversary year, focuses on comparing St. Augustine from then and now; a quest that has always intrigued visitors and residents.
