Ministry of Tourism sees tourism potential for area
State Senator Tony Hill reported to Historic City News that he recently hosted an economic development delegation of 40 dignitaries from the Ministry of Tourism of the Bahamas on a vision tour in various Florida counties; including St. Johns County.

Vicky Oakes, Assistant Supervisor of Elections for St. Johns County, told Historic City News local St. Johns County reporters, “We’ve put together a quick info sheet as a reference to the upcoming August 24th Primary Election; listing some upcoming dates, deadlines, and election activities for St. Johns County voters.”
The City of St. Augustine has invited Historic City News readers to attend a brief ceremony on Aviles Street, between King Street and Artillery Lane, to officially mark the commencement of the Aviles Street Rehabilitation Project on Friday, July 30th at 9:00 a.m.
Sallie O’Hara, Byway Program Administrator, reported to Historic City News that planning for the first “A1A Golf Cup Classic” is underway to raise funds for Friends of A1A to continue its mission to preserve, protect, promote and enhance the A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway.
