Billboards on railroad property coming down
In a process that started as part of an annexation request to the city, local reporters from Historic City News learned that highway billboards along US-1 between the north city gates and the county courthouse are coming down for good.

Today, Governor Charlie Crist announced to local reporters at Historic City News that he has appointed Terence R. Perkins to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John V. Doyle on the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court.
Historic City News reporters have learned that the St. Johns County School District, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Johns County Tax Collector and St. Johns County Fire Rescue have joined together to deliver the “Party’s Over” reenactment for St. Johns County Students.

Ben Platt, Vice President, of the Board of Directors and Site Selection Chairman for the Children’s Museum of St. Johns, told local reporters at Historic City News that his most often-asked question over the past two and a half years has been “Where exactly is the Children’s Museum located?”
Historic City News reporters listened to complaints from several Water Street residents during last night’s regular meeting of the City Commission about the impact of daily cannon firings from the Fountain of Youth Park.
