Man says he tried to fend off drunk girlfriend before arrest
St Augustine Police reported to Historic City News that officers were called in the wee hours yesterday morning to an apartment on the southeast corner of an apartment building located at 35 Dufferin Street to investigate a disturbance between two residents.

A 36-year-old homeless woman was arrested about 2:00 p.m. this afternoon; St Augustine Police say that she was committing trespassing while in possession of drug equipment.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement Public Information Officer Gretl Plessinger informed local Historic City News reporters that this week the agency is participating in a multistate workgroup sharing methods and best practices when investigating “officer-involved” shootings.
Historic City News has been informed that a St. Johns County woman was arrested earlier today, ending a manhunt for two women accused of dragging an off-duty deputy through the Winn-Dixie parking lot on US-1 North.
Two women who stole an unknown amount of merchandise from the Winn-Dixie Marketplace in the 3500 block of US-1 North are being sought on retail theft charges. However, Historic City News has learned that they will also be charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, who they attacked in the parking lot.
