Abduction and beating on west side
Sgt. Chuck Mulligan has reported to Historic City Media that detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Victims’ Unit are investigating the abduction and beating of a 48-year old Flagler County woman that occured early this morning.
Sexual predator moves to county
Kevin Kelshaw, Media Relations Officer for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, has informed Historic City News that Justin Erin McDowell is now living at 2391 U.S. 1 South, Lot #20, in St Augustine. In accordance with 775.21 F.S., this news release serves as public notification that the Sheriff’s Office has been given information that a sexual predator is residing within St. Johns County.
Crime Stoppers begins “text tips” program
In a media update received by Historic City News this afternoon, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida announced that June 15th marked the start of their new Text Messages program. These “text tips†from cell phones are part of Crime Stoppers anonymous tipster program in St Johns, Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam counties.
Five children victims in lewd behavior case
A 73 year old construction specialist with Florida Power and Light Company who lives at Treasure Beach is under arrest and incarcerated at the St. Johns County Jail pending payment of $20,000 bail on five separate charges of lewd behavior by an adult; involving children under 16 years of age.
Don’t pay money to collect “winnings”
A 22 year old Hastings woman has fallen victim to a widely publicized scheme to defraud according to a report by Deputy Michael Saunders that was obtained by Historic City News this morning.
Mother arrested for child abuse
Historic City News was informed that a 39-year old St. Johns County woman was arrested this afternoon on a charge of felony child abuse after she allegedly went shopping while leaving her infant child in her vehicle while it was not running and the windows were closed.
Three arrested at Cornell Road house party
Three St. Johns County men were arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two of them were also charged with conducting an open house party this morning according to a report received by Historic City News this afternoon.
