Three occupants of cars involved in a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of SR-13A South and CR-305 were transported to area hospitals for treatment of sustained injuries, according to a report received by Historic City News Sunday evening.

The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine has confirmed to local Historic City News reporters today that a number of dogs in St Johns, Putnam, and Flagler County are currently being hospitalized for H3N2 canine influenza (dog flu).

On Wednesday afternoon, local Historic City News reporters were informed that a small Hyundai Elantra was traveling too fast for conditions on I-95 southbound then collided with two tractor-trailer operators when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Just before 2:00 a.m. this morning, Historic City News was informed that a 48-year-old St Augustine man, Mark Burger, had been struck by two vehicles as he stood in the traffic lane at SR-16 at North 1st Street. The victim died at the scene.

Historic City News reporting that today sentencing was held in the murder of 29-year-old convenience store clerk Malav Desai during a robbery that took place on May 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at 70 Masters Drive in St Augustine.

Last night at about 8:10 p.m., Historic City News learned that St Augustine Beach Police captured a fugitive from North Carolina when he returned to take possession of a reportedly stolen car that was parked in the 10th Street parking lot, just East of A1A Beach Boulevard.
