City-county joint workshop planned

A joint workshop of city and county commissioners has been scheduled for June 3rd – the first such gathering in recent history, according to a report received by Historic City News.

Our Heritage Tourism Director Bill Adams recently completed updating the city tour guide test and authored a 46-page Official Handbook for Sightseeing Tour Guides and Drivers for Hire according to a report received by Historic City News today.

Memorial Day start to plaza concerts

Former Mayor George Gardner reported to Historic City News that Concerts in the Plaza opens its 19th season Memorial Day, May 25th, with an afternoon concert in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Beach closed to vehicles

As of 4:00 Monday afternoon, St. Johns County has closed the beaches to all vehicles due to inclement weather, high tides and extreme surf conditions.
