Historic City News was informed by Captain Conrad Matt that the St. Augustine Garrison, a local re-enactment company formed in 1984, heads to Fort King George State Historic Site in Darien this Saturday for the Debatable Land Encampment.

Groundbreaking Thursday for 16th Century boatyard

The St. Augustine Maritime Heritage Foundation announced to local Historic City News reporters that on Thursday, they would re-establish a boatyard in the actual area where, four and a half centuries ago, boats and ships were likely assembled and repaired.

Slavin, Jr., will appear before the St. Augustine Beach City Commission at their regular business meeting tonight and try, again, to persuade a local government body to move forward in support of his proposed “St. Augustine National Historical Park, Seashore and Coastal Parkway”.
