Masters named City employee of the year

The City of St. Augustine announced to local Historic City News reporters that they have recognized 10 year Public Works Department employee Chris Masters with the City of St. Augustine Employee of the Year Award.

Motorcycle accident at deadly intersection

St Johns County Sheriff’s Traffic Homicide Investigator Joseph D. McGinnis reported to Historic City News that the Traffic Unit responded to the scene of a single-vehicle traffic collision at 9:49 p.m. Wednesday night.

As the tower clock tolled ten, George Kotrady opened the door to the funeral coach and instructed pallbearers how the remains of Forrest Noda would be brought into the Basilica Cathedral for this morning’s funeral service.

The St. Johns County Tourist Development Council meets at 10:00 a.m. today to hear proposals from two groups to manage St. Johns County art, culture and heritage tourism development program starting in October 2011.
