Historic City News has learned that the man who fled from police officers in both Flagler and St Johns counties yesterday, has been identified to the media as 37-year-old Joshua Christopher Noles; reportedly a transient living in Daytona Beach.

Historic City News has been informed that three St Johns County deputy sheriffs have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into the shooting death of an armed driver believed to have committed at least two hit-and-run crashes in Flagler county midday on Wednesday.

Leaving the scene of an automobile collision where the crash led to the death of one or more persons is a first-degree felony in Florida; and, yesterday, St Johns County resident Henry Haigler was sentenced to serve eight-years in a state prison facility for the commission of that crime.
