Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 30 attorneys including one in St Augustine

Leslie H. Smith, spokesman for the Department of Lawyer Regulation of The Florida Bar informed local Historic City News reporters that in recent court orders the Florida Supreme Court disciplined 30 attorneys, including one in St Augustine: disbarring six, suspending 11, admonishing two, reprimanding six and revoking the licenses of five. One attorney was placed on probation.

City Fire Prevention Chief Bob Growick announces retirement

St Augustine Fire Chief Carlos Aviles announced to local Historic City News reporters that Fire Prevention Chief Bob Growick will be retiring from the City effective February 22, 2022.  Chief Growick is a 40-year veteran of the fire service and has served as the city’s Fire Marshal since August 2, 2013.
