Builders association offers Bennett their endorsement
Josh Cockrell, a spokesman for Rachael L Bennett, a small business owner who is running for St Johns County Commission, District 5, today announced to Historic City News that the Northeast Florida Builders Association has endorsed Bennett’s campaign.





Public Information Officer Jeremy Robshaw announced to Historic City News readers in St Augustine and St Johns County the following closure schedule for county government offices, facilities and services in observance of Independence Day.

Historic City News reporters watched as St Augustine city commissioners listened to six minutes of harsh criticism for the way the City portrays Pedro Menendez and Ponce de Leon as “heroes” instead of as “murderers” of native people who lived here thousands of years — three minutes from Shannon Larsen and three minutes from St Augustine resident, Bill Hamilton.
March 26, Historic City News reported that the German manufacturer, 2G Bio-Energietechnik AG, purchased a 60,000-sf facility in the Interstate Commercial and Industrial Park off Agricultural Center Drive.
A Fort Worth, Texas man has been arrested and accused of the May 1, 2012 robbery of Wells Fargo, located at 2841 CR-210, and of grand theft; and, he is now being held in the St Johns County Detention Facility without bond.
In response to a request advanced on June 11th by St Augustine City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline, Historic City News reporters have been notified that, at tonight’s regular meeting, the commission will hear a report and request for approval of up to $75,000 for an outside consultant associated with the creation of a Lincolnville Community Redevelopment Agency.
