Suggestion to outlaw chewing gum in City

Chewing gum on the bottom of your shoe after a walk on St. George Street may seem like a minor annoyance to some, but to resident Linda Groom the issue is so sticky she decided to bring it before the St, Augustine City Commission this week.






When Gate Petroleum Company acquired convenience stores in order to enhance direct-to-retail sales of gasoline more than 20 years ago, Herb Peyton needed retail locations beyond Jacksonville — and needed them in a hurry.
