Vandals damage Purple Heart Memorial

A Palm Coast memorial honoring the recipients of Purple Heart Medals was recently targeted by vandals according to a report received by Historic City News this week.

Fig Tree Cottage added to local Bed and Breakfast

One of St. Augustine’s popular Inn’s, The Ancient City Inn, announces the Grand Opening of their New Fig Tree Cottage. The Inn will dedicate the Cottage with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 3 and host a Grand Opening Celebration from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 4.

Food and wine festival benefits Boys and Girls Club

Darby L. Stubberfield, Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida reported to Historic City News reporters that The St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association recently held its first annual food and wine festival to benefit THE PLAYERS Championship Boys & Girls Club.

Historic City News received word this evening that a 12-year-old Palm Coast boy got an unexpected ride in a helicopter tonight after he wandered away from his family and got lost in Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park in Flagler County.
