Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw announced to Historic City News that the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office is joining with hundreds of other law enforcement agencies across the country in renewing a pledge to save lives by intensifying efforts to enforce seat belt laws — among all motorists and around the clock — during the 2008 Click It or Ticket mobilization which runs through June 1.

Notebook computers have become very competitive — comparing price to features like storage, speed and enhanced video display. Battery life has improved drastically and the device itself has slimmed down in size and weight and many businesses are taking notice of the new notebook.
Historic City Media was notified that the Public Works Department of the City of St. Augustine will begin its yearly sewer system smoke testing in specific areas of the city.
The testing will be conducted between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. on Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, May 19th and ending July 31st.

Unearthing First America: La Florida by Land and Sea
On Wednesday May 28 Dr. William Kelso, National Geographic author and Jamestown archaeologist, kicks off a 3-day public program that examines archaeological and historical evidence for early American history.
Intergenerational Movement Workshops to be held May 24 at the Cultural Arts Center at St. Augustine Beach according to an announcement received by Historic City News this afternoon from the St. Johns Cultural Council.
