Commissioner Jim Bryant attended the 2nd Annual Chase-Rescorla Scholarship Fundraiser on Friday, April 5, at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village.

15 year old charged with string of thefts

Juvenile arrest
A fifteen year old white male wearing a baseball cap and a gray sweatshirt with the number “4” on the back was seen riding a bicycle through a quiet neighborhood in the area of Abbey and Varella Avenue Saturday morning.

That juvenile is now suspected in the commission of several thefts according to an incident report filed by St. Johns County Deputy Jeremy Russell.

Thieves risk lives to steal copper wire

Sometime between Monday afternoon and yesterday morning, April 17, 2008, an FPL substation on east SR 206 in the vicinity of the Moses Creek Conservation Area, was burglarized causing about $1,500.00 in damage and resulting in the theft of about $1,000.00 worth of copper wire according to an incident report filed yesterday by Deputy Justin Anderson.
