Saviak appointed to Judicial Nominating Commission
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio announced to Historic City News this morning that St. Augustine resident and Florida property rights advocate, 39 year-old Carol Saviak, has been appointed to serve as a member of the federal Judicial Nominating Commission for the Middle District of Florida.



Community Awareness Coordinator, Kim Brumfield, reported to the local Historic City News desk that Betty Griffin House in St. Augustine was pleased to host a portion of Lauren’s Walk on Saturday April 9, 2011.
The Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville announced to Historic City News local reporters that they will bring back the Artist Studio Tour this year, but they will take it to historic St. Augustine.
Jerry Kass, 96, is a retired Marine and long time resident of St. Augustine. He first visited the city in 1930, moved there in 1937 and has lived across the street from Flagler College, then Ponce de Leon Hotel, ever since.
