On April 22, the City of St. Augustine will recognize one of the community’s most enthusiastic and committed advocates of historic preservation when the Adelaide Sanchez Award for Historic Education and Interpretation is presented to David Nolan. The man hired by St Johns County in June of 2010 to rescue the debt-laden St Augustine Amphitheatre, announced yesterday that he will be leaving his job as the county’s Director of Cultural Events, with his last day to be April 20th.
