Graham named Public Works Director of 2016



Local students joined nearly 700 students, advisors and volunteers from around the state participating in the 59th Annual Florida YMCA Youth in Government (YIG) State Assembly in Tallahassee. Historic City News learned that students served in the actual Florida Senate and House chambers as well as in the Cabinet and Supreme Court offices during the 3-day session, committed to “debate ideas not people”.
Paul Williamson, Public Affairs Director for the City of St Augustine, wrote to Historic City News last week to remind our readers that, with the start of Daylight Saving Time nearly six weeks ago, watering restrictions have been changed to suit the season.

The City of St Augustine has invited Historic City News readers who are interested in future access to and from the Nelmar Terrace Neighborhood, to attend a public meeting tomorrow; Thursday, April 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
With City Commissioner Todd Neville leaving the meeting because of a declared conflict of interest, Mayor Shaver and the remaining commissioners reached a unanimous quasi-judicial decision; confirming denial of a use by exception to develop a mini-warehouse at the intersection of SR-A1A and SR-312.
