In the spring edition of FORUM, the magazine of the Florida Humanities Council, writers informed their audience about the plans for the future of St Augustine, and moves underway to better balance the city to accommodate tourists as well as the families who live and work in the 450-year-old town.
The frontrunners in the race for two Florida House seats created by the resignation of former Florida Senator John E. Thrasher held a fundraising event at the Fountain of Youth Thursday night; even though each of them have funds available in their campaign accounts.

VA hospital turns investigation against whistleblower

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel is now investigating the claims of a whistleblower who revealed the use of a secret appointment wait list at the Shreveport VA hospital — including 37 veterans who died awaiting care.

Vicky Oakes, St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, informed local Historic City News reporters today that over 15,000 absentee ballots have been mailed for the upcoming April 7th Special General Election; called to fill the vacancies in Florida Senate District 6 and Florida House District 17 and District 24.
