Uniform Crime Report released tomorrow afternoon
The Office of Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner, Gerald Bailey, announced that tomorrow afternoon, Historic City News will be able to obtain a copy of the 2012 Annual Uniform Crime Report for the State of Florida.



At about 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, Historic City News learned that deputies and members of the St Johns County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad had been dispatched to Flagler Hospital to examine a suspicious package.
Today, local Historic City News reporters joined Sheriff David Shoar, local and state officials, current and retired Sheriffs, the family of the late Sheriff Neil J. Perry, and the men and women of the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office dedicated the St Johns County Criminal Complex in memory of Sheriff Perry.
Historic City News reporters joined a crowd of well-wishers this morning for the naming ceremony at the Neil J Perry Criminal Justice Complex, including comments for members and friends of the Perry family delivered by men who had known Perry — as a soldier, policeman, deputy, and sheriff; and even one who never knew him; County Commission Chairman Jay Morris.
The continuing investigation into the homicide of 67-year-old Barbara Parchem has taken a turn that has some Historic City News readers questioning why the victim’s daughter, a known probation violator, is walking around free.
St Johns County Fire Rescue informed Historic City News reporters that firefighting resources were deployed this morning in support of efforts to bring a raging warehouse fire under control at Middleton Farms; located at 315 East St Johns Avenue in Hastings.
While investigating the apparent murder and aggravated battery that occurred in the Bank of America parking lot near Wildwood Drive last night, another driver, 56-year-old Cindy Lynn Angell, drove around a marked patrol car and deputy — entering the crime scene with her vehicle.
Historic City News has received notification that 24-year-old Candace Kiara Jackson is under arrest and being held, without bond, until her first appearance hearing this morning; charged with aggravated battery and murder with a deadly weapon in a domestic dispute that ended in the Bank of America parking lot at 4305 US-1 South yesterday evening.
