The St Johns County Sheriff’s public information office reported to Historic City News yesterday that deputies arrested an 18-year-old female about 8:54 a.m. in her residence located at 39 Carefree Lane in Ponte Vedra Beach, pursuant to an active Duval County arrest warrant charging her with second-degree murder and solicitation to commit robbery.
Michael Ryan, St Johns County Director of Communications, informed Historic City News that all appointments to receive immunization from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) prior to Friday, have been allocated to those on the waiting list compiled by the Department of Health.

In a 32-page opinion released Wednesday, the Florida Supreme Court unanimously rejected an appeal by former St Johns County resident James Terry Colley, Jr., who raised a series of issues concerning his conviction including that he had been impaired in 2015, because of taking the sedative Ambien, when he fatally shot his estranged wife and one of her friends.
A parent’s worst nightmare, the tragic death of their child, has wreaked havoc on the lives of Bryant Acosta and Tracie Cline, their friends, and family members, since their son, 28-year-old Dustin Acosta, was shot and killed by two law enforcement officers inside his Masters Drive condominium.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. last night, officers with the St. Augustine Police Department were called to a disturbance from the Park Place Condominiums located at 1590 Masters Drive, in St. Augustine. A St Johns County deputy was in the area of the call and responded as backup for the primary responding police officer.
