Last night Historic City News was informed by the Florida Highway Patrol that a two-vehicle crash occurred on SR-206, leaving one driver dead.  Alcohol is not suspected to have contributed to the crash.

Historic City News readers were informed prior to the July 1, 2019 effective date of the state’s new texting-while-driving law; however, during the first six-months, the Florida Highway Patrol has focused on education.  The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles warns that time has passed.

Larizza announces two St Johns County "drug-induced murder" indictments

Historic City News was called to a press conference this afternoon by State Attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, RJ Larizza, who announced that two Jacksonville men have been indicted and are being held without bond, charged with first-degree murder by unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
