Supreme Court lets stand the murder conviction and death sentence of James Terry Colley, Jr
In a 32-page opinion released Wednesday, the Florida Supreme Court unanimously rejected an appeal by former St Johns County resident James Terry Colley, Jr., who raised a series of issues concerning his conviction including that he had been impaired in 2015, because of taking the sedative Ambien, when he fatally shot his estranged wife and one of her friends.
Warrant issued for BLM supporter who brought a handgun to Acosta funeral
A parent’s worst nightmare, the tragic death of their child, has wreaked havoc on the lives of Bryant Acosta and Tracie Cline, their friends, and family members, since their son, 28-year-old Dustin Acosta, was shot and killed by two law enforcement officers inside his Masters Drive condominium.
For the past week, since November 18, 2020, Acosta’s family has struggled; trying to make sense of the nonsensical killing of their son, raising funds, managing how to cover ongoing fixed expenses, as well as the dreadful chore of cleaning the crime scene, making funeral arrangements, and paying for them.

Acosta family and friends gather Monday to remember son killed by police
One of St Augustine’s largest local Minorcan families, with relations to several others, will gather Monday afternoon with extended family and friends for a celebration of the life of 28-year-old Dustin James Acosta; who died tragically on November 18, 2020, when he was shot and killed by two law enforcement officers.

Gamble Rogers Music Festival concert November 28 at Colonial Oak Music Park

The Gamble Rogers Music Festival Board of Directors will hold a concert from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28 at Colonial Oak Music Park in downtown St. Augustine.
