Clerk of Court takes leave of absence for military service
Brandon J. Patty, St Johns County Clerk of Courts and County Comptroller has announced to Historic City News this morning that beginning this Friday, May 24, 2024, he has requested a leave of absence from Governor Ron DeSantis and has appointed a designee to fulfill his responsibilities through the remainder of this year.

City of St Augustine Beach hosts Art & Bark in the Park event
The City of St Augustine Beach reported to Historic City News that, in conjunction with the Beach Art Studio, they will host the Annual Art & Bark in the Park event on May 18, 2024. The event is being held at Lakeside Veterans Memorial Park, 2340 A1A South, St Augustine Beach, 32080, and will run from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. this Saturday,

GOP finally removes St Johns Republican Executive Committee Chair Blake Paterson
After months of mismanagement and abuse, observed and previously reported by Historic City News, the Republican Party of Florida has removed St Johns County GOP Chairman Blake Paterson. An election will be held within the next 60 days to determine who will fill the remainder of Paterson’s term, but the suspension and other penalties are effective immediately.

Corvera Pipe Band will participate in St Patrick’s Parade
