Florida Fulbright chapters convene in St Augustine
Flagler College announced to Historic City News that Deputy Consul General of Spain, Javier Pagalday, and about 50 Fulbright scholars from around the world, will attend the combined Florida Chapters of the J. William Fulbright Association for an on-campus meeting next month.






When the Republican Club of Greater St Augustine holds its next meeting, Historic City News has learned that St Johns County Tax Collector, Dennis W. Hollingsworth, will be the guest speaker.
Executive Director for Florida, Kevin Doyle, informed local Historic City News reporters that in order to further reduce America’s dependence on overseas oil, the Consumer Energy Alliance will participate at public hearings in Tallahassee and Panama City Beach to discuss a draft environmental impact statement for two proposed oil and gas leases in the Gulf of Mexico’s Eastern Planning Area.
A nod to Henry Flagler’s legacy was reported to Historic City News today when the Florida East Coast Railway released its plans to continue painting engines with the “heritage” paint scheme — bright red-orange and mustard.
Locally owned and operated Phillips Broadcasting of St Augustine announced to Historic City News today that Bozard Ford Lincoln will sponsor a new radio show, “High School Headlines” on Newstalk AM 1240 WFOY airing live every Saturday at 1:00 p.m., streamed on 1240news.com, and rebroadcast from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The 2013 Resurrection Revival will be held at St Paul AME Church beginning March 27th through March 29th. The ministering Pastor will be Dr. Hubert “Hurricane” Brown Jr. Psalms 85 verse 6 speaks of a revival for and in the people. Won’t you come be a part of the “stirring of the waters”. The church is located at 85 ML King Avenue and all are welcome. Reverend Ron Rawls is the Pastor.
