In October, Tilman Fertitta, took Landry’s Restaurants Inc. private; then, by December, he agreed to buy Morton’s Restaurant Group Inc., the famous Chicago based restaurant chain founded in 1978 by Arnie Morton and Klaus Fritsch.
The United States Army Corps of Engineers announced this week that Historic City News readers at St Augustine Beach, and near the three borrow sources at the St Augustine inlet, will be impacted by beach renourishment beginning February 6th, and continuing through June or early July 2012.
Dr William T Abare, Jr, announced to Historic City News that Flagler College is trying to raise $1 million by June 1st in order to qualify for a one-to-one match, $1 million endowment to be awarded from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust.
Letter: Poor comparison of 2004 bill to HB 1039
About ten residents, who live in the North City neighborhoods surrounding the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, chartered a 15-passenger van and made the 204 mile drive to Tallahassee to object to approval of House Bill 1039; they were greeted with an opportunity to address a legislative committee — for 30 seconds.
