When Florida’s Governor Rick Scott came through St Augustine and Palm Coast earlier this year, he spoke to area business leaders and elected officials about his agenda — calling for the merger of major agencies, streamlined rules and regulations, and more money for incentives to attract companies to move to Florida.






For the 447th consecutive year, St. Augustinians will celebrate the passing of the old and the arrival of the New Year.
Palm Coast City Manager Jim Landon reported to Historic City News that this year, city residents would be able to recycle their Christmas tree and receive a free three-gallon evergreen tree in exchange.

Lindsey Phillips informed local Historic City News reporters that the adult admission fee at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument would increase from $6.00 to $7.00 effective January 1, 2012.
Historic City News has learned from a report released earlier today by Sears Holdings Corp, that the K-mart located in Seabridge Square at 1777 US-1 South in St Augustine, is one of an estimated 100 to 120 Sears and K-mart stores that it plans to close.
