Train Safety Awareness Week honors
Historic City News learned from the Florida Department of Transportation that St. Johns Sheriff’s Corporal Robin Juratovac will be recognized at a ceremony on Wednesday, October 26th as a “Top Officer” for her outstanding efforts during the 2011 Train Safety Awareness Week.






Law Enforcement Division Director Art F. May told Historic City News that he was recently honored for 30 years of service during an annual encampment and open house held at the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch in Live Oak.

Craig Funeral Home Crematory and Memorial Park Funeral Operations Manager, Russell D. Hall, LFD, announced to Historic City News that George William Bissett, 88, of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2011, surrounded by his family at the Bailey Family Care Center.
On Friday, September 16, 2011, The Company of St. James commemorated the 446th anniversary of the first mustering of America’s original citizen-soldiers in St. Augustine in partnership with the Florida National Guard and Florida Department of Military Affairs.
