Health officials issue mosquito-borne illnesses advisory

Noreen Nickola-Williams, Director of the Office of Public Health Practice and Policy for the Florida Department of Health in St Johns County, reported to Historic City News Friday that in partnership with the Anastasia Mosquito Control District an increase in mosquito-borne disease activity has been detected within the southeast quadrant of St Johns County.

Three area attorneys among those disciplined by Florida Bar

Leslie H. Smith, spokesperson for the Department of Lawyer Regulation of The Florida Bar informed local Historic City News reporters that the Florida Supreme Court has recently disciplined 12 attorneys, suspending five, reprimanding one, revoking the licenses of five, and admonishing one. Three reciprocal orders and one discipline order are reported prior to September 26th.

Tom MartinSt Augustine, FL Thanks, Michael, for your editorial in Historic City News, “Vote NO to one-cent sales surtax“.  That wording states exactly what the promoters who drafted the surtax referendum want voters to think — however, there is a big difference between “one cent” and “one percent”.
