St Johns County: Last day to register March 9th
Historic City News readers in St Johns County must register not later than Monday, March 9th, in order to be eligible to vote in the Special General Election to be held April 7, 2015. Voter Registration Closes March 9th.
St Johns deputy hospitalized in out-of-county crash
Around 7:40 a.m. this morning, Historic City News was notified that a St Johns County deputy who was reporting to work and driving a marked patrol car, crashed into a Mazda passenger vehicle on San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the two-car crash.

St Augustine Aquarium may face competition
Historic City News has learned that, before it is even built, the dream of a public aquarium by owners Shawn and Kathy Hiester of Ponte Vedra Beach is reportedly facing competition from deep pockets in Downtown Jacksonville, near the Northbank site of the proposed Shipyards redevelopment.
