A former St Johns County deputy sheriff, 49-year-old Robert Terry, who married and twice divorced, then recently reunited with Sarah Ann Terry-Smith, has reportedly shot, and killed himself after fatally firing on Terry-Smith a reported seventeen times.

Fort Mose Historic State Park has partnered with Florida Power & Light Company and The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, with publicity donated by Historic City News, to create a self-guided educational tour experience along the Flight to Freedom Trail.
