Education Commissioner Stewart diagnosed with cancer



Historic City News readers in St Augustine love souvenirs. Less than 90-days after more than a 4-year buildup, and as many millions of public tax-dollars in spending, the City of St Augustine has begun auctioning off some of the remnants of the 450th Commemoration.
At 2:00 p.m. today, the City of St Augustine will present a land use plan amendment to the Planning and Zoning Board during its regular meeting in the Alcazar Room of City Hall, located at 75 King Street, according to an agenda provided to Historic City News.
Today St Augustine Mayor Nancy Shaver announced her support to Historic City News for Governor Scott’s proposed reforms for Enterprise Florida; including the creation of the Florida Enterprise Fund.

After the resignation of Jeremy Marquis, and subsequent resignation of Joseph Cronk, Historic City News watched Monday night as the St Augustine City Commission appointed Catherine A Duncan on a 3/2 split vote, to fill the immediate vacancy on the Historic Architectural Review Board.
All departments of the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St. Johns County Administrative offices, St. Johns County libraries, and the Pet Center will be closed Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
