For the second time in less than two weeks, Historic City News has learned that Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a man for possession of child pornography.

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum told Historic City News local St. Johns County news reporters that some of Florida’s most effective crime fighters since 1989 have been Senior Sleuths who volunteer in the Seniors vs. Crime Project.

The driver of a 1996 Ford who was taken into custody and arrested at the scene of a crash in St. Augustine Shores on Saturday night has been released on bail, however, that may change depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation; since the other driver has died.

Historic City News received word that a St. Johns County man is in custody after fleeing into the woods to avoid capture this morning; thanks to sheriff’s deputies on the ground, in the air and assistance from a alert K-9 officer.

Two men were arrested this morning following the execution of a search warrant at a home on Coquina Ave.

Sergeant Charles Mulligan told local news reporters that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 43 year-old man for Burglary to an Occupied Dwelling and (2) Counts of Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

Historic City News received word that the chief cook at the Flagler County Inmate Facility was arrested today by Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives on charges of introducing contraband into an inmate facility.

At 11:16 PM Saturday night, Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that deputies from St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit responded to a serious injury crash at the intersection of Shores Boulevard and Deltona Boulevard in St Augustine Shores.
