Driver arrested in possession of stolen car

Historic City News has learned that just before noon on Saturday, Corporal John Sheets observed a suspicious blue Toyota, traveling west bound in the area of Evergreen and Masters Drive. St. Augustine Police Corporal John Sheets responded to an armed robbery call from a taxicab driver on San Marco Avenue at 2:09 a.m. early Sunday morning according to a report received by Historic City News.

St. Augustine Police Officer Michal Ochkie responded to an armed robbery call from Walgreens at 4:09 p.m. today, just minutes after the robbery occurred, according to a report received by Historic City News.

Jail renovation complete

St. Johns County Construction Services Department reported to Historic City News the completion of the renovations to the St. Johns County Jail, which was a two-year, $12 million project.
