St. Augustine Police Department Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford reported the following recent investigations to Historic City News.

St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Chuck Mulligan told Historic City News that they are investigating the harassment of a local endodontist who is the victim of repeated telephone calls to his cell phone and office.

Historic City News freelance photographer Christopher Kimball was on the scene of a crash earlier today that sent one person to the hospital — and two vehicles home by way of a tow truck.

Historic City News has learned that early this morning, a member of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office was arrested on charges of Grand Theft and Official Misconduct in connection with his duties as an Evidence Technician.

St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar wants to ask those Historic City News readers who live along St. Johns County’s 125 miles of waterways, to consider the potentially lifesaving benefits of posting their address where it can be seen from the water.

Property Crimes Unit detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office have reported to Historic City News that they are investigating a rash of utility trailer thefts that occurred throughout the county over the past 3 1/2 months.

Sheriff’s Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that a St. Johns County couple was arrested on charges of dealing in stolen property early this afternoon in Putnam County and face additional charges in St. Johns County.

Historic City News learned that two more have been arrested in the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office sweep of street-level drug dealers.
