St Johns County Sheriff’s Sergeant Charles E. Mulligan reported to Historic City News that a 21 year-old St Augustine woman was killed last night when she was partially ejected and pinned under her vehicle in a single-car crash on Green Acres Road.

Drug dealer faces life in federal prison

A grand jury indictment of 38 year-old James Lamark Early, of St Augustine, was unsealed today by United States Attorney Robert E O’Neill alleging illegal drug manufacturing, maintaining a drug-involved premise, and distributions of cocaine base; charges which could send him to federal prison for the rest of his life, if he is convicted.

The election of 2006 was a dark election for St Johns County residents — it was the year that convicted felon Thomas G. Manuel played the voters here like a violin; and used his powers of manipulation, in concert with three pawns, one of whom would later say, on camera, “to take over the county”.
