Monday May 14, the St Augustine City Commission will resume discussion, and may take a vote, on the lease renewal request for the bayfront miniature golf course; a city-owned icon located between the marina and Bridge of Lions since it was opened in 1949.

Ocean Hammock Park opened last Saturday

City of St Augustine Beach Commissioner, Undine Pawlowski, informed Historic City News local reporters that at the May meeting of the Beach commission, on Monday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. at St Augustine Beach City Hall, a time would be set for the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Ocean Hammock Park.

St Johns County Industrial Development Authority chair Peter Apol announced to local Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that they will collaborate with other county agencies to host a business reception with Governor Rick Scott and invited international business leaders on May 10th.

Car dealers in St Augustine and St Johns County tell local Historic City News reporters that they are on “high alert” after a series of recent vehicle thefts where the thief didn’t have to break into the cars — he convinced the dealers to hand him the keys.
